Ski Schools beings: Recognition of Professional qualifications from other EU/EEA Member States

General information

Evidence of training from other Member States may be recognised by decision of the Provincial Government (Landesregierung) as a substitute for examinations and training in accordance with the regulations in Vorarlberg.

This is in accordance with EU Directive 2005/36/EC on the recognition of professional qualifications.

If there are substantial differences from the qualifications required by the Vorarlberg regulations and if these cannot be compensated by knowledge gained through professional experience or further professional training (seminars, other forms of further training), an aptitude test may be required. This must be approved by the Vorarlberg Ski InstructorsAssociation (Vorarlberger Schilehrerverband).

This also applies to evidence of training issued in third countries or to third country Nationals.

Please note that the state government has a duty to make a decision on every received application. This means that every application requires processing. If the applicant notices during the procedure that no decision is required, you can withdraw the application free of charge. However, this is only possible until we issued the decision. Please note the following costs, which entail a decision.
